Convergence

Breaking down barriers between disciplines

teme

The conference theme of HEPS2022 is Convergence - Breaking down barriers between disciplines.

Convergence is the integration of knowledge, methods, and expertise from different disciplines and the emergence of novel frameworks to catalyze scientific discovery and innovation. HEPS2022 focuses on the integration of knowledge, methods, and expertise from the disciplines of Human Factors/Ergonomics and of Medicine and Health in order to contribute to a safe and humane, high-quality healthcare system.

The conference objective of HEPS2022 is to provide an international platform for the dissemination and exchange of scientific knowledge between the disciplines of Human Factors/Ergonomics and of Medicine and Health and merging the different approaches to create new perspectives and solutions for the evolution of healthcare. Through breaking down the barriers between disciplines, we foster a framework of scientific knowledge, expertise and best practices to create the future of health and healthcare.

Call for Sessions and Abstracts

Instructions for Authors

HEPS2022 invites submissions for special sessions (deadline February 28 2022; closed) and for oral or poster presentations (deadline April 30 2022; closed). The review process is closed and authors have been notified about acceptance. Find below the Instructions for Authors.

Submission type: extended abstract or full paper

Authors of accepted abstracts can either submit an extended abstract (2 pages) or a full paper (6-10 pages). Extended abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts only, full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Book of Abstracts

The Book of Abstracts will include the abstracts of all conference presentations (both oral and poster). The Book of Abstracts will have an ISBN number and will be freely available and downloadable from the conference website. Conference participants will receive a link to the Book of Abstracts a few days before the conference. The Book of Abstracts will be published open access (OA).

Please note: the Book of Abstracts will contain the extended abstracts and the abstracts of the full papers. Extended abstracts will not be published in the conference proceedings.

Conference Proceedings

The HEPS2022 Conference Proceedings will include all full papers (6-10 pages) and will be published by Springer (official publication partner of the International Ergonomics Association). Full papers should be 6 to 10 pages long. A minimum of 6 pages is a requirement of Springer which we cannot change. Apologies that we communicated differently in earlier e-mails. Please note again that extended 2-page abstracts will not be published in the Springer Proceedings.

Full papers that are part of the proceedings will be indexed in Scopus, Ei-Compendex and Web of Science (indexing will take a few months after the publication date).

The proceedings will be published non-OA, but upon publication all participants will receive a temporary (4 weeks) link to access the proceedings (e-Book) and download the papers.

The proceedings will be published post-conference. We expect midst December 2022.
